Identify and prioritize problems, opportunities, potential and constraints in library operations that could be addressed by STIMULATE training.Ĥ. Utilize existing library integrated systems in implementing and manipulating skills that is responsive to daily library users.Ģ.Ěppreciate the value of technologies and bench marking activities in sustaining quality library services.ģ. The training program aims to enhance the capabilities of the librarians and library paraprofessional staff to undertake new trends and technological skills perspectives specifically with the capability to:ġ. Also, one librarian and one faculty of library science of CTE attended both a one month seminar in Belgium sponsored by the VLIR-PIUC collaboration. The STIMULATE training in Brussels, Belgium is attended by four librarians and one faculty of library science in the College of Teacher Education ( CTE ). The STIMULATE training is an adopted name and its format in Vrije Universitiet Brussels, Belgium. Therefore, an intensive training for the purpose of upgrading, equal footing, and enrichment is planned to attain the purpose. Though the library is doing well, the current development scenario requires enhancement and sharing of knowledge and skills gained to other library staff. The library permeates to the automation of the library. The PIUC provided the library with the mechanism to implement and advances to a better library services. The PIUC collaboration assisted and supported the library in terms of collection development, automation, and staff development thru international exposures, trainings, and local scholarship.
The BSU Library experiences a variety of transformation as a result of the grant from VLIR-PIUC collaboration together with SLU.
